- MPEG-H support with fantastic sound quality.
Ambeo’s central claim is to be the all-in-one solution you’ve been waiting for. The loudspeaker comes with 13 drivers, 5.1.4 audio, and no surround speakers are required.
To launch with a soundbar that costs twice as much as some other soundbars is a bold move for the company – this is the company’s first and only soundbar.

Quality of sound
After calibration, we go straight to the collection of 4K Blu-rays with Atmos capabilities. In the bombing run sequence of Unbroken, Sennheiser’s contributions are immediately noticeable.
The sound of the Liberator cuts through the room as bomber squadrons communicate clearly and directly as they approach their targets.
Sennheiser’s details, atmosphere, and subtlety are the perfect calm before the storm.
A Sennheiser raises the stakes as enemy fighters emerge from the clouds with precision machine gunfire. The Ambeo provides a powerful, room-filling zoom when enemy aircraft approach and attempt to strafe the bomber. In comparison to most one-box devices, the dynamics and scale of this device are outstanding.
The dialogue in Alien
Covenant’s opening scene is reproduced exceptionally naturally, full-bodied.
Guy Pearce’s beautiful bass-heavy voice forms a baritone tone. The soundbar is seamlessly integrated with the subwoofer, unlike some soundbars that have subwoofers. With seamless color and a natural texture, Sennheiser stands out from its competitors.
Final thoughts
You can enjoy the thrill of cinema-quality surround sound in the comfort of your living room with the Sennheiser ambeo soundbar.
Thanks to Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Sony’s 360 Reality Audio, we can now fully immerse ourselves in sound. Soundbars like Sennheiser’s AMBEO deliver impressive Atmos presentations effortlessly and precisely.
There is an additional cost of up to $1,000 (approximately $2000) over other options. While the AMBEO has a high-quality sound, it does not require different speakers or a subwoofer, all of which need outlets, cables, or space. It can still achieve the sound stage best with multiple speakers. However, Sennheiser AMBEO soundbars are an excellent and all-in-one solution for Atmos.
Bose 700 review
Bose 700 review

- Best Bose soundbar: The best-performing soundbar from Bose, featuring immersive sound, deep bass, and easy access to your entertainment. Use the Bose Music app for guided setup
The goal of Bose 700 is to deliver the best possible sound with just one speaker so that people can enjoy their TV and music without worrying about wiring.
Aside from the stylish look of the Bose soundbar 700, its sound is quite impressive.
There are voice control features on the soundbar, as well as Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. There are no HDMI inputs on the soundbar for supporting Dolby Atmos, and it cannot help with DTS:X.
Key features
Control
With the Bose Music app, your voice is in control, or remotely via Bose’s context-sensitive universal remote, you can manage what you hear.
Take or make calls
Use this smart soundbar to make and take calls with Amazon Echo products, Bose intelligent devices, and anyone on your contact list via Alexa only. The soundbar offers free hands-free, phone-free communication.
Integrated Alexa
You can control the smart soundbar with the help of Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. The system listens to your voice from all directions, even when there is background noise.
Product compatibility
Designed to work with other Bose smart speakers and soundbars, this smart soundbar is part of the Bose Smart Family.

Sync easily with Bose
Connect the Bose Smart Family to a Bose headphone for an immersive listening experience, or connect a Bluetooth speaker or Sound Touch speaker to play the same song simultaneously.
Design
Bose Soundbar 700 is the soundbar you should choose if you will occasionally need to use one.
The Soundbar 700’s elegant lines, perfect glass top, short and shallow height, and small size make it one of those rare pieces of technology that enhances your decor rather than detracts from it. You can choose whether to make a statement or blend seamlessly into the background with the black or white option. It is a stylish speaker.
It is narrow and short enough, at 38.5 inches wide and only 2.25 inches high, to slide under practically any TV with at least fifty inches. You can wall-mount it with an optional $40 bracket (which is remarkably affordable).
The Soundbar 700 has no physical buttons. You can silence the built-in mic with a touch-sensitive area near the left front corner but avoid using it too often – as beautiful as the glass is. The microfiber cleaning cloth provided by Bose is a welcome addition.
One flat note in an otherwise lovely design is a bulky universal remote that is out of place with the sleek, minimalist lines of the Soundbar 700.
Connectivity
HDMI ARC or an optical cable are required to connect the Soundbar 700 to your TV. Due to the speaker’s limitations, it can only output DTS and Dolby Digital audio signals, so choosing one over another does not affect sound quality. HOWEVER, using HDMI ARC will result in the universal remote working better because it will be able to control connected devices via the CEC protocol (the HDMI way of delivering commands).
Even so, I believe an optical connection makes more sense if you can control all of your devices with infrared (IR). There is no HDMI input on the Soundbar 700, so why give up a precious HDMI port on your TV?
There is also Ethernet (an alternative to Wi-Fi) and four other dedicated ports on the back of the bar: an Adaptiq mic, a wired bass input (subwoofer), an optional IR repeater, and one for “data” (what does that mean).
Due to a proprietary Bose port, it isn’t possible to use it with another subwoofer. Although Bose sells wired subwoofers to connect to its Soundbar 700, its wireless subwoofers (the $400 Bass Module 500 and the $700 Bass Module 700) work only with the speaker.
If you’re using an Android device, it may be easier for you to stream music to the soundbar via Wi-Fi, but it also supports Apple’s AirPlay 2 protocol and Bluetooth.
Final thoughts
Even though the Bose Soundbar 700 isn’t Dolby Atmos compatible, it’s still a superb soundbar with a class-leading design and voice assistant, making it worth the $850 price tag.
