I tried several methods, then find an easy method to connect. I am going to share some simple steps to connect the soundbar to the Wi-Fi, I hope you get your answer.

- From the iOS App Store or Google Play Store, you can get the Vizio SmartCast mobile app for your phone or tablet.
- Then, on the VIZIO Sound Bar Remote, press the Menu button to enter Wi-Fi Setup Mode. Navigate to the Wi-Fi Setup option using the arrow keys.
- After selecting Wi-Fi Setup, press play/pause on your keyboard.
- Press the Play/Pause button again to confirm your selection.
- A series of LEDs will cycle on the sound bar’s front when it’s in pairing mode.
- On the Vizio SmartCast app home screen, scroll to the bottom and tap on “Device Settings.”.
- To set up a new device, follow the on-screen instructions by tapping the “Add New Device” option.
- You have now connected your Vizio soundbar to the Internet.
Using the Vizio SmartCast Mobile App, update the Vizio Sound Bar.
- In the Vizio SmartCast mobile app, go to “Settings > System > Check for Updates”.
- Check for updates by selecting “Yes.”
- After a successful update, the Soundbar will turn off. A new firmware update will be downloaded automatically.
- it may require 30 minutes for the update to complete. As the update is being installed, it will lose the connection to the SmartCast app to the Soundbar.
- After the power LED is reset, the SmartCast app connection will be restored, and the power LED will remain on.
Note: During the update process, be sure not to turn on your Soundbar manually. The update process will need to be restarted if interrupted. During the update process, be sure to keep the Soundbar powered up.
You can manually download and install the soundbar software update. It cannot download the update through the SmartCast mobile app.
